This article provides information on the documents required for opening an individual client's account, including specific details about the requirements for each document.

Where can I upload the documents to open an account?

After completing the KYC questionnaire, you will be redirected to the next stage of the account opening process, where you will need to upload the required documents.

All additional documents can be uploaded in your Client’s Area → 'Settings''Profile' → 'Documents'.

What documents are required to open a Live trading account at Exante?

To open and verify an individual trading account, please provide the following documents:

Document type

Accepted documents

Date issued

Proof of Identity (POI)

The document has to contain the following:

  • Full name

  • Nationality

  • Date of birth

  • Place of birth

  • Issue and expiry date of the document

The document has to be scanned in colour.

A valid international passport

  • Please scan the first two pages of the passport (with all four corners of the document visible)

  • If the signature appears on other pages, scan those pages as well.

Valid government-issued identity card

  • Please scan both sides of the document

Valid residence card

  • Please scan both sides of the document

For EU and EEA jurisdictions:

  • Valid driving license

Please scan both sides of the document

If the POI document does not include an expiry date, it will be considered valid for five years from the application approval date

Photo with Proof of Identity

To ensure smooth and accurate verification, please take the verification photo in adequate lighting so that all details are clear and visible

Proof of Residence (POR)

The document has to contain the following:

  • Full name (same as in the Proof of Identity document)

  • Address

  • Document date

  • Name of the service

We do not accept bills for mobile services or credit card statements.

Additionally, handwritten information, such as the date on a bill, is not accepted.

  • Utility bill (gas, water, electricity)

  • Bank/Financial Institution account statement

  • Correspondence from a central or local government authority, department, or agency

  • Any Proof of Identity document listed above, as long as it clearly indicates the residential address*

  • Certificate of Good Conduct

The document cannot be older than six months (*except for the Proof of Identity document option).

Can I upload one document as Proof of Identity and Proof of Residence?

Please use separate documents to confirm Proof of Identity and Proof of Residence. One document cannot fulfill both requirements.

How long does it take to approve an account?

Typically, the provided documents are approved within 1 to 2 working days.
